The Australian Steelers remain undefeated this morning beating Ireland, 70-40. Australia will come up against the only other undefeated team in their Pool, Japan 6:30pm tonight at the Quaycentre, Sydney Olympic Park.

The top of the Pool clash is a highlight match of the Championship, pitting World No. 1 – Australia, against World No. 3 – Japan.

Japan held on to their winning streak this morning, defeating Denmark 52-42.

Despite tonight’s upcoming game, Japan’s top scorer Daisuke Ikezaki went full throttle against Denmark - delivering a blow from behind to Denmark’s Kristian Bak Eriksen who fell head first.

“I don’t know if I have a concussion. I didn’t even see him coming,” said Bak Eriksen.

Denmark will finish third in Pool A.
